A story of friendship, taking risks, and standing tall when it matters most.
Bobby Tinsdale, an 11-year-old in the Juvenile Cancer Ward of a Los Angeles hospital, has just one wish — to ride in an F-14 fi ghter jet just like the hero in his favorite movie, Top Gun. Unfortunately, because of his medical condition it’s a wish the national Make a Wish Foundation is unable to grant due to his doctor’s objections.
When Bryan Adams — an Air National Guard pilot visiting his aunt at the same hospital — eventually befriends the boy, it occurs to him that he’s one of the few people on the planet who could actually make the boy’s wish come true. But in doing so, it would mean more than bending a few rules…it would mean breaking the law.
Packed with adventure in the sky and courtroom drama, this story examines the question: if you were one of only a few people who could actually make the greatest wish of a terminally-ill child come true, would you do it — even if by doing so, you risked losing everything?
Get ready to climb into the cockpit of the Maltese Falcon with Bryan Adams and Bobby Tinsdale, and come along on a ride you won’t soon forget…
